Rail strikes: RMT union refuses to rule out further strikes

The RMT union has threatened further strikes as a third day of industrial action brought the rail network to a halt in many parts of the country – causing huge headaches for tourism and entertainment venues.

Union leaders are urging Transport Secretary Grant Shapps to “get on with his job”.

But he’s criticised what he called outdated practices in the rail industry – saying they should “move with the times”.
