Putin says Russia will not be threatened in Victory Day speech

Vladimir Putin has used Russia’s annual Victory Day to accuse “arrogant” Western elites of forgetting the Soviet Union’s role in defeating Nazi Germany. At a parade that was notably smaller than usual, he warned that no one will be allowed to threaten the world’s biggest nuclear power.

It follows another nighttime barrage of Russian missiles and drones, fired at Ukraine’s power grid, while Ukraine has been targeting Russian oil processing facilities.
