Prime Minister climate no-show criticised by own party

Rishi Sunak’s decision not to attend the COP 27 climate talks in Egypt, has been criticised by Alok Sharma – who chaired last year’s summit in Glasgow and will lead Britain’s team this year.

He said it risked undermining Britain’s position as a world leader on green issues. The Cabinet Office has insisted “the UK will be fully represented”.
