President of European Court warns UK must not ignore Rwanda injunctions

The president of the European court of human rights has warned countries not to ignore its injunctions – saying there is a “clear, legal obligation” to follow them.

A warning which might just be aimed at the UK Government – and its emergency legislation designed to stop legal challenges to Rwanda deportation flights.

Today Downing Street insisted it was confident the measure wouldn’t breach its international obligations.
