Polio: Nearly million children to be offered booster vaccine

Almost a million children in London aged one to nine are to be offered the polio vaccine.

Health officials have said that there has been “some transmission” of the virus in the capital after detecting it in sewage samples.

In rare cases, polio can cause paralysis or be a threat to life.
