Olivier Awards: Liz Carr calls for theatres to be more inclusive

Covid and lockdowns left the theatre world on its knees.

But now the crowds have returned, and they celebrated in style last night at the Oliviers with the musical revival of Cabaret winning seven awards, and a puppet-heavy Life of Pi clawing in five.

But one of last night’s winners was keen to remind the theatre world that for some, the pandemic is not over.
