Ofcom boss bids to regulate Netflix after Jimmy Carr row

From controls on the streaming service Netflix to new measures to tackle online harms, there’s been no shortage of controversy for the broadcasting regulators Ofcom to weigh in on.

And with the hunt still going on for a new chair, the watchdog is being run day-to-day by the chief executive, former Whitehall permanent secretary Melanie Dawes.

We sat down with her at St John’s and St Clement’s primary school on the eve of safer internet day.
