Nottingham maternity services ordered to improve

Nottingham University Hospitals Trust has been told to make immediate and significant improvements to maternity services by the healthcare watchdog. An independent review has been set up to look into the deaths and injuries of dozens of babies.

The trust said it was committed to make the changes still needed and were working hard to make the necessary improvements, while the Care Quality Commission said both sites providing Nottingham’s maternity services remained inadequate.
