Nine million people in the UK are lonely

From retirement to health problems – or becoming a new mother: all trigger points in life which can leave someone not just isolated – but alone. Nine million people in the UK are lonely – according to research by the Co-Op and the British Red Cross. Victoria Macdonald has been talking to Tony Fisher. He lost three members of his family in the space of just one year as well as suffering from mental health problems.
