New series of plays celebrates masculinity through the generations

Two of Britain’s best-known gay pioneers are being celebrated in a series of plays exploring different representations of masculinity through the generations.

The Boys! Boys! Boys! season is at the King’s Head Theatre in North London – which was also the venue in 1975 for the first public performance by Quentin Crisp, the artist and activist best known for his memoir, the Naked Civil Servant.

He’s one of those profiled in the production.
