Nepal’s prime minister KP Sharma Oli has resigned after violent protests across the country have killed at least 20 people.
Breaking the curfew in Kathmandu, thousands took to the streets and stormed into parliament, setting it on fire.
Police reportedly used live ammunition to control the situation, as well as water cannon and tear gas.
The Gen-Z led demonstrations were over alleged government corruption and a social media ban – which has now been lifted.
Despite Oli’s resignation, protesters are now demanding that the government be dissolved. The country has had 13 since 2008.
