Mother and son reunited in Dominica after storm

A month ago Hurricane Maria left a swathe of destruction as it tore through the Caribbean. Right in its path was the tiny island of Dominica, one of the poorest in the region and a former British territory. It’s estimated around 30 people died when the category five storm hit. Thom Walker travelled to Dominica with Londoner Ginna Andrew as she returned to her village of Soufriere in the south of the island to be reunited with her young son.
