Morocco earthquake: death toll rises above 2,000

Foreign Affairs Correspondent

Villagers in Morocco have been digging through rubble with their bare hands, retrieving bodies and searching for survivors after Friday night’s 6.8 magnitude earthquake. 2,122 people are now known to have died – a number that’s expected to rise.
