Marr on guitar: Smiths guitarist sits down with Krishnan

As guitars go, those belonging to Johnny Marr have witnessed some of the most iconic musical moments of the last 40 years. From the guitar he used to compose ‘Heaven knows I’m Miserable now’ in the Smiths, to the custom-made Fender he played on Billie Eillish’s Bond theme tune. Now almost a hundred of his instruments are up for auction. Krishnan Guru-Murthy went to speak to him with his vast collection before they’re sold.
