Many office workers remain at home despite Johnson plea

From today, firms can ask their staff to go back to the office after the government changed its advice on working from home.

But despite fears for the future of our deserted city centres – it seems there’s no rush to return to the workplace, with many big companies saying they would prefer to keep employees working remotely for at least the rest of this year.

From safety concerns to issues like transport and childcare, the barriers are considerable.
