Lockdown is not on cards for now, PM says

A lockdown isn’t on the cards for now, the PM said earlier today. Government advice is that people should ‘social distance’ in order to avoid the spread of Covid-19 – but if people don’t heed it, nothing is ruled out.
The UK’s approach is at odds with some European countries – just across the channel France has imposed a complete lockdown.
