Liverpool’s Tate gallery shows off masterpieces on a converted lorry

If you can’t get to the museum – the museum will come to you.

In Liverpool, at least – where the Tate gallery has loaded up some of its finest masterpieces onto the back of a converted lorry, and taken it on a ten week tour of the Merseyside region.

The mobile museum is visiting schools, community groups, care homes and local venues – complete with works by Turner, Constable and Barbara Hepworth – as well as some more contemporary pieces.
