With aspirations to to become the UK’s first transgender MP, a 19 year old from Kent has become the first trans person to be elected as a Labour women’s officer.

Lily Madigan, who identifies as a woman, was elected by the Rochester and Strood Constituency Labour Party. However, the decision has left some party members furious.
