Lecturers have ‘considerable amount of government funding’, says education secretary

The NHS isn’t the only part of the public sector facing strike action.

University lecturers are already staging walkouts and teaching unions are balloting for action.

We spoke to Education Secretary Gillian Keegan following an announcement that the government is giving universities and colleges £490 million to invest in facilities – and asked her if that money would be better spent keeping lecturers in jobs.
