Last rebel stronghold in Syria fears Assad onslaught

It is the last battlefield in Syria’s seven-year war: Idlib province, where almost three million people fear an onslaught by regime forces backed by Russian bombers. Today Britain promised new emergency aid, including health clinics and new technology to warn of impending airstrikes. But the US has withdrawn $200m worth of funding for projects in Syria.
