Labour insist childcare policy is fully costed as Sunak denies considering quitting

Rishi Sunak has apologised again for leaving the D-Day commemorations early, declaring, “I just hope voters can find it in their hearts to forgive me”.

He brushed aside suggestions that he had thought about quitting, and insisted he was “energised” by the campaign.

Labour’s Sir Keir Starmer has been focusing on his party’s childcare policy, telling reporters it was all “fully costed”.
