Labour front bench MP resigns over Starmer’s Gaza stance

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer is facing more pressure over the party’s stance on the Israel Hamas conflict – after a member of his frontbench team resigned.

The Bradford East MP Imran Hussein said he could not “in all good conscience” continue serving as shadow levelling up minister as he wanted to be free to “strongly advocate” for a ceasefire.
