Kent Council says it can no longer look after unaccompanied child migrants

Kent County Council has said that its children’s services have been so overwhelmed by the arrival of unaccompanied child migrants that it has had to stop looking after them from today.

Those who arrive will now be looked after by the Home Office instead, sparking fears that they’ll face long stays in facilities that are totally unsuitable for children.
