Kate Tempest meets John Cooper Clarke

They’re performance poets who have each won over armies of fans more used to rock and pop than poetry. But while Kate Tempest’s new album is a hip- hop- influenced political poem, John Cooper Clarke’s new album, with the former Stranglers front man Hugh Cornwell, has him singing classic songs from the 50s.
