Johnson brands school meal parcels ‘disgraceful’

“Disgraceful” and an “insult” to families is how the prime minister today described the food parcels being provided for children that have replaced free school meals in England during lockdown.

His comments followed criticism of the parcels by footballer Marcus Rashford.

The issue caused heated exchanges at Prime Minister’s Questions.
