From mental health institutions to children’s home, and covering a period of nearly 50 years, the investigation into Sir Jimmy Savile grows more complicated by the day. So what is alleged?
The government today came under pressure to launch its own independent inquiry, which would add to inquiries being conducted by the Department of Health and the BBC.
Fourteen police forces are also involved in investigating the claims against Savile, who died aged 84 last year, after allegations of his abuse of teenagers surfaced in an ITV documentary.
