Jamelia on media coverage: ‘My white counterparts do not get this kind of abuse’

The singer Jamelia has accused media outlets of using her name as click-bait to encourage people to read a story about a man convicted of a gangland murder.

A number of websites appear to have exaggerated a connection between the pop star and the son of a man her mother had a relationship with 35 years ago, purely to drive interest in the story.
