Italy imposes shutdowns as coronavirus continues to spread

In Britain, four of the cruise ship passengers flown back yesterday have tested positive for the virus – and have been taken to NHS infection centres.

Italy, meanwhile, is locking down areas where the virus has been detected, and the Venice Carnival has been cancelled over virus concerns.
