Iraq protesters killed after masked gunmen open fire

In Iraq, at least 18 protesters have been killed and hundreds injured after masked gunmen opened fire in the Shia holy city of Karbala.

It’s not immediately clear who the gunmen were, but it is one of the deadliest single attacks since anti-government demonstrations began earlier this month.
