Inside Jenin refugee camp as Israeli forces end two-day raid

After the Israeli army’s biggest assault in the West Bank in a generation triggered two days of violent clashes between troops and Palestinian armed groups, the streets of the West Bank town of Jenin were once again filled with ordinary people today.

They came to join the funeral processions for the dozen people killed in the violence, or to inspect – with anger and despair – the devastation left in the wake of the fighting.
