Inflation hits 10-year high as fuel prices soar

Public health may be preoccupying ministers, but concerns about the country’s economic wellbeing aren’t far behind.

Inflation last month was the highest in a decade at 5.1%.

The much worse than expected figure was down to soaring fuel prices and the impact of disruption to supply chains.
