Hundreds of WW2 veterans set sail from Dover for D-Day 75th anniversary

More than 200 second world war veterans have boarded a ship chartered by the Royal British Legion – ready to set sail from Dover tonight bound for Dunkirk.

The veterans and their families were greeted by a guard of honour as they arrived for the week long voyage – marking the 75th anniversary of D-Day, the biggest amphibious invasion in history.
