How religion and misinformation are harming Malawi’s fight against malaria

Almost every minute a child dies with malaria – a disease that’s entirely treatable and preventable.

There’s a global strategy to eradicate it by 2030, and helping that fight is a groundbreaking new vaccine.

Malawi was one of three trial countries to receive it and it’s helped reduce child deaths there by 13 percent.

But there are still barriers to overcome – with some churches preaching that medicine is the work of the devil.
