How Manchester is trying to tackle its rise in homelessness

As temperatures plummet across the UK, rough sleeping continues to rise.  Manchester alone has seen a 42% increase in the past year.  The city’s mayor Andy Burnham is on a mission to tackle it and he’s already pledged to end rough sleeping by 2020.

He today launched a new plan to help do that, which includes asking local businesses to help. But is this cold comfort to those who know what it’s like to sleep outside?
