Germany calls for Europe to force Brits to quarantine as UK government opens travel

According to Boris Johnson, Britain’s vaccination drive offers “the hope of travel this summer”. But European countries aren’t exactly rushing to let Brits in.

As for England’s traffic light rules on where people are allowed to travel, the expected government announcement has yet to happen.

Driven by the Delta variant, infections are continuing to spread rapidly across the UK with more than 16,500 new cases reported today, the highest since early February.
