Gaza aid sea corridor could open this weekend, says EU Commission President

With the UN warning that a quarter of Gaza’s population is on the brink of famine, five people waiting for aid were reported killed today, hit by an international air drop when parachutes failed to open.

As Israeli attacks continued, Britain called on Tel Aviv to allow more aid in by land and the European Commision President said a new sea corridor could be open this weekend.
