Gaps in way national and local track and trace systems working together, says Cumbria public health director

Amid warnings that peoples’ failure to maintain social distancing could lead to another wave of infections, an efficient track and trace system is one of the only tools available to help contain the spread.

But the public health director leading the coronavirus response in Cumbria has warned that there are gaps in the way national and local systems are working together – saying crucial information still isn’t being passed to those in charge at a local level.
