FGM case against father collapses

The trial of a father accused of causing or allowing his daughter to undergo genital mutilation has collapsed today. Prosecutors were hoping to secure a landmark conviction in the trial at Bristol Crown Court, but it was halted when the defence successfully argued there was no case to answer.
