Expect more disease outbreaks ‘if we continue to deny, delude and delay on climate change’ – Christiana Figueres

It’s been five years since the historic agreement in Paris on climate change, but since then political progress has stalled with President Trump pulling out of the multinational treaty which aimed to cut carbon emissions.

I spoke to Christiana Figueres, the United Nations former climate chief, and her strategic adviser, Tom Rivett-Carnac.

Their new book ‘The Future We Choose’  is about how we can deal with the climate emergency – a positive plan of steps we can all take, even if governments are yet to meet the targets of the Paris agreement.
