Dystopia or destiny? The rise of the delivery robot

A future where robots do all the things we can’t be bothered to isn’t just confined to science fiction but already happening in two parts of the UK – where hundreds of fully autonomous robots have been helpfully delivering shopping during the pandemic.

They’re powered by algorithms and, says the firm behind them, saving hundreds of thousands of car journeys in the process.

So should we be afraid, or embrace the robot delivery army?
