Drought fears as Met Office issues four-day extreme heat warning

The amber extreme heat warning issued by the Met Office running from tomorrow to Sunday in much of England and Wales is its longest so far.

Temperatures aren’t predicted to reach the record highs seen during July’s red warning, but this heatwave will last longer –  increasing the risk to vulnerable people.

The long dry spell is already taking its toll on agriculture.
