Different decisions could have stopped Manchester Arena attack, senior MI5 officer says

A senior MI5 officer has told the inquiry into the Manchester Arena bombing that different decisions could have stopped the atrocity from happening – although he said the judgment made not to put the attacker Salman Abedi under investigation had been “sensible” at the time.

Relatives said they believed there had been “significant failings” by MI5 that needed to be addressed.
