Today the World Health Organisation stated that Omicron was spreading at an unprecedented rate, as the fight to contain the variant continues.

In Europe this evening new restrictions are coming into force, as Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced the closure of primary schools and the extension of a night-time lockdown.
