Covid Inquiry: John Swinney admits he ‘manually’ deleted texts to Nicola Sturgeon

Ahead of Nicola Sturgeon’s appearance in front of the UK Covid inquiry tomorrow, her former deputy confirmed that he had manually deleted all text messages they exchanged during the pandemic.

John Swinney said he’d been advised to take that approach – promising he would ”apologise unreservedly” if he had misunderstood government policy.
