Coronavirus: Students returning to university a ‘recipe for disaster’

A leading academics union has warned that allowing a million students to begin university next month risks sparking another surge of coronavirus – describing it as a ‘recipe for disaster’.

While some university bosses sympathise, others say they’ve been hard at work to make campuses safe, including staggering teaching and insisting on face masks.
