Church of England Synod told it needs to do more to protect people from abuse

The Church of England still needs to do ‘an enormous amount’ to better protect people from abuse. A senior member of the national safeguarding team has told a meeting of the General Synod that there is a need for culture change within the church. Survivors of abuse held a silent protest outside today’s meeting.
