Chelsea withdraw request to play match behind closed doors

Chelsea have withdrawn a request for their FA Cup tie at Middlesbrough on Saturday to be played behind closed doors after a row with the government over ticket sales for the game.

The club is still under strict spending restrictions after the government sanctioned owner Roman Abramovich for his links with Vladimir Putin.
