Chancellor Rishi Sunak says UK economy to face ‘enormous strains’ following lockdown

The Chancellor Rishi Sunak has warned that he’ll have to make some tough decisions in next week’s Budget in order to repair the gaping hole in the public finances caused by the pandemic.

This, as a new report commissioned by the TUC found that the jobless rate among people from a minority ethnic background is now twice as high as for white people.

They’re urging the government to take action to end structural racism and inequality.
