British families describe the agony of being caught up on either side of the war between Israel and Hamas

It’s hard to imagine the anguish for the families of those taken hostage by Hamas, and also for the relatives of people now under bombardment in the Gaza strip.

We went to speak to two British families with very different stories, both caught up in the agony of this latest violence.
