Anti-lockdown protesters take to the streets in the US

“Everything is closed unless we say otherwise” – New York’s governor Andrew Cuomo declared today – as he said although the state’s coronavirus cases appeared to be “on the descent” there should be no rush to lift the lockdown.

Contrast that with President Trump, who has been giving his backing to protests against stay at home orders in states led by Democratic governors.
